Founder of My Holistic Nurse, Kristy Lee Rackham RN, was recently interviewed on ABC Radio, Mornings with Annie Gaffney. In this fascinating audio, Kristy explains holistic nursing and it's place in a modern health industry.

Holistic nursing is based on the premise that you cannot treat a patient’s physical health without addressing the multifaceted “whole” person, and that the individual themselves is central to the healing process.
This practice recognises the totality of the individual and the interrelationships of body/environment, mind/manifestation, emotion/energy, connection/community, security/economy and personal growth/skills. In 2012 My Holistic Nurse developed 'The Me Map: A Holistic Model for Sacred Energy Mastery and Lifestyle Sustainability" (seen left). It is the framework that forms the basis of My Holistic Nurse's treatments, programs and professional ethos. The model's aim is to encompass the best of the medical system models of health, with emerging scientific findings and an evolving, public driven desire for a 'person-centred', empowered and 'partnership' approach to health. It is also the first independent holistic nursing model of it's kind within Australia developed by a Registered Nurse who has complementary health training and 20+ years of experience in the complementary health field. |
